Abercrombie Tartan Rug

HISTORY

The origin of the Abercrombie tartan was first recorded in 1831 by James Logan in The Scottish Gael. This tartan is the sole registered Abercrombie tartan.  The colours of the Abercrombie Family tartan are an attractive blue and green with white.

Crest: falcon rising belled
Motto: Tace (Keep Silence)
Clan Badge: Petit Alta (He seeks high deeds)
Seat: Abercrombie, Fife. No currently recognised Clan Chief, or armigerous clan.

Materials: All of our rugs are 80% British Wool and 20% Nylon. Woven 8 row Axminster with a heavy commercial quality.
