HISTORY

The Adam clan is recorded from the 13th century most commonly in the lowlands, also with connections to the Gordon clan of the North East.
The Adam tartan contains contains a rich mix of green blue and reds with white and black.

Crest: A cross crosslet fitchée Gules surmounted by a sword in saltire Proper
Motto: CRUX MIHI GRATA QUIES [from Latin: The cross gives me welcome rest] Seat: Blair Adam, estate in Kinross-shire. No currently recognised Clan Chief, or armigerous clan.
